The Interstellar Lucia Parade
An alternative Lucia – a light performance procession through the streets of Stockholm – where Science Fiction meets live performance in the warm glow of light art.
Fräulein Frauke, together with Nobel Week Lights Festival and Stockholm Fringe Festival (STOFF), invites you to Lucia Interstellar – an alternative, performative, immersive and space-inspired Lucia train.
On December 13th, we will meet in the midwinter night and celebrate an alternative and queer Lucia – far from tradition but with warmth, lights, singing and performance!
Come and participate in a light-filled space train starting from Sergelstorg – there will be an immersive walk through Stockholm, performances and light installations, and it will end with a catwalk and crowning of Stockholm’s most alternative Lucia.
Is that you?
Dress up, come and join us, and be part of the spectacle! The dress code is light costumes of all kinds! Break the traditions of what a “Lucia” should be and look like – fill the train with creatures from outer space, light-clad maidens, star-clad “stjärngossar” and Christmas-inspired weirdos.

Would you rather just watch?
We will walk from Norrbron via Gustav Adolfs Torg – Kungsträdgården – Hamngatan – Segelstorg. With a few stops at light art installations on the way.

Saturday, December 13, Norrbron, start 7:00 PM
Afterwards, you can join The Node Stockholm for the festival’s official afterparty.
Fräulein Frauke is a multidisciplinary artist, singer and creator.
As Sweden’s largest burlesque export, she shares her personal interpretation of the norm-breaking, queer and feminist performing art form burlesque across Europe and mixes classic vintage expressions, exaggerated femininity, lavish costumes and body-positive striptease in her artistic practice.
Nobel Week Lights is a festival lighting up Stockholm during the darkest time of the year; a free cultural experience for everyone.
The light festival is presented by the Nobel Prize Museum and initiated & produced by Troika AB. It invites both international and local artists, designers, and students to create public light artworks inspired by the Nobel Prize. The light installations illuminate the Nobel Prize laureates’ scientific discoveries, literature, and peace work, while at the same time giving us the opportunity to see the city and the urban environment with new eyes together with loved ones.
Science Fiction has been a source of inspiration and scientific discovery since its inception. In 2025, Nobel Week Lights, Fräulein Frauke and Stockholm Fringe will come together to present a participative event that will mix a beloved Swedish tradition with the capacity for space to create and inspire both art and discovery: the Interstellar Lucia Parade.
The promenade is a queer, alternative and family friendly Lucia event.
